Below is a 36x36 acrylic on canvas painting I did for a friend to give to her husband on their wedding day. It is a special family car, and the one in which they left the reception. Below you can see the development of the painting:

Rocks pond sunset...

Below is a 16x20 acrylic on canvas painting of sunset at rocks pond. We combined some sunset photos from one spot on the pond with a dock view at another part of the pond. This was a retirement gift from some of Brian's coworkers for a sweet lady they are going to miss having around! This is one if her favorite spots!

Finished: sorry there's a little glare on this photo!

Abstract for baby Lily

Below is a 36x36 acrylic on canvas abstract for baby lily's nursery! Our sweet friends are expecting this GIFT from The Lord- and what amazing godly parents she will have!  It has been my joy to anticipate her arrival with them-  and i was so honored to be able to contribute to her adorable room! We used colors from her nursery bedding, curtains and walls for inspiration!

So I had a guest artist in my studio: my almost sister Courtney! We set her up with a picture and canvas beside my easel and she was a natural- no fear! I loved it!
Her masterpiece! Quite impressive!

Quick pastel drawing:

We enjoyed a beautiful fourth of july weekend at the beach- during which we had some delicious fried green tomatoes! Before these babies got sliced, battered, and fried I grabbed one for a quick still life sketch.  I think the shadows need to be darker, but its just a study... and since theres no picture to look back at, I'm likely to let it be. This is about 8.5x11 pastel on hot press watercolor paper! Took some pictures also... May be some green tomato paintings in my future!
